Today we made whipples to use during our upcoming surgical pathology laboratory class. A whipple procedure, AKA a pancreaticoduodenectomy, consists of removing the head of the pancreas, duodenum, and gallbladder. This can be a complex specimen to gross, so it is a great opportunity to practice with cadavers before moving on to patient specimens.
