Have you ever felt frustrated when searching online for gross (macroscopic) pathology photos when trying to study? Probably! There are limited resources online with gross pathology photographs, so when students are trying to learn the gross presentation of various tumors and diseases, or things like specimen orientation and margins, it can be quite frustrating... Or if you are not a pathology/PA student: have you ever looked for study resources or tips from other students who learn in a similar way? (One of the best ways to learn is from your peers!) We have news for you! Our pathologists’ assistant students will be compiling various resources throughout their two-year program to share on this Instagram page and on a website (being released in the upcoming weeks!). The program curriculum has didactic and clinical components, so as the students progress through the program, they’ll create resources based on what they’re currently learning. During didactic courses, review resources will be created for various topics in courses such as anatomy, histology, embryology, physiology, general and systemic pathology, surgical pathology, and autopsy. During clinical rotations, interesting cases with educational content will be shared. We hope you are excited to learn, because we are excited to share with you! First up we have some gross anatomy reviews coming your way! #TulanePathAssist
