- How do I obtain surgical pathology exposure?
- Shadowing hours with a Pathologists’ Assistant are encouraged. Any paid employment, shadowing, or an internship in the anatomic pathology lab would be helpful.
- Do you give preference to Louisiana residents?
- No, Tulane is a private university. We make no distinction by state of residency in the admissions process and the tuition rates are the same regardless of state of residency.
- Is there a minimum of shadowing/experience hours needed?
- No, applications will be considered on an individual basis. Hours and experience may vary.
- Do one of my letters of recommendation need to come from a professor?
- No, letters of recommendation should be submitted from those who can attest to the applicant's skills, experiences, and character.
- When does the application cycle open and close?
- Applications are accepted between March 1 and June 15th on a rolling admissions basis.
- When are applicants interviewed?
- The interview process is two step. Beginning in mid-May, select applicants will be invited for an initial interview via Zoom. The initial interviews will take place throughout late May and June. Select applicants will be invited for a second interview to take place on campus in July.
